Thanks to hundreds of Needham residents and families, over $50,000 was raised for the Needham Community Council through The Front Steps Project in Needham 2020.

The Front Steps Project | Needham includes town images, smiles of our neighbors on over 500 front steps, anecdotes of the experience and areas to add personal images and memories. The 80-page, color, hardcover book was designed and published by The Needham Front Steps Project Team thanks to a partnership with Blurb.

A final round of pre-orders - including full payment - are available through July 30, 2021.

Books will be ordered on July 31 and arrive by August 2021.

  • Why does the Needham book cost $49 when the international book cost only $14.99?

    • The international book was published by a publishing company called West Margin Press. Their existing business operations allowed for them to price the international book very competitively. The Needham book is being self-published by the Needham residents who spearheaded the project.

  • Why are we taking full payment upfront?

    • Collecting payment upfront streamlines the ordering and payment collection process, which will allow us to get the books into your hands sooner!

  • Is any of the money from the Needham book being donated to the Needham Community Council?

    • Profits from The Front Steps Project go to the Needham Community Council and other non-profit organizations.

  • Where can I see a copy of the book if I don’t want to buy one?

    • Copies of the book will be donated to the Needham Library, the Needham Historical Society, the Needham Community Council and the Needham Town Hall.
